Sourdough Choc Chip Cookies

  • 1 Cup butter
  • 3/4 cup CSR Rapadura sugar
  • 3/4 cup raw sugar
  • 1 Large egg
  • 1 cup Sourdough Starter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla essence
  • 2 1/4 cups Millers artisan sourdough Flour
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. Bi carb
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 to 2 cups chocolate chips of your choice

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F or 175 C
  2. Cream butter and egg together.
  3. Mix in the sourdough starter and vanilla essence.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients together.
  5. Mix the wet and dry ingredients together. (Don’t over-mix)
  6. Slowly add your chocolate chips.
  7. Allow the dough to rest for 15 minutes. Shape the dough into small round balls (approx. 2 tsp. per cookie). Flatten and place on a baking tray.
  8. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes.
